As the situation in Lebanon deteriorates even further, we are having to do a lot more travel to provide transport for the children we serve and their families, especially the mothers. We currently only have one people carrier to do all of this to serve 200 children AND their families, including 32 children in our residential programme.
Could you help us to fund another people carrier? We are trying to raise £28,000 to buy a new one. Thanks to our wonderful supporters, we have already raised a staggering £10,000. Could you help us raise some more – the smallest amount WILL make a tremendous difference.
We need transport to help us deliver emergency food supplies to the most vulnerable of the families, many of whom literally have nothing.
We currently only have one van to take nearly 200 children on trips and excursions, especially the 30 or so in residential care, who love going to new places.
The mothers are especially isolated, with little or no hope. We need transport to bring them to our coffee mornings, Bible studies and literacy classes.
As the situation in Lebanon descends into further chaos, life for those on the edge of society has become even more difficult. Even the essentials are a financial stretch. If families are able to find a job, the minimum wage is barely enough to buy their bread and the security of their homes is at stake, with rent money being diverted to food. For the refugee and the stateless in Lebanon, hope is a word they stopped using long ago.
Please make a donation towards our appeal here.
We urgently need help to fund a people carrier, so we can serve the most vulnerable by providing lifts to our gatherings, deliver urgent food supplies, take the children on trips and excursions, and so much more. God bless you and thank you.
