Justice and System Changes

Our Karundas Community Hope Centre provides hope and support to vulnerable children and their families in one of Kenya's poorest regions. Here, many children are so poor that they have to go to work to be fed, typically in the local quarries. No school. No education. No childhood.

Our Community Hope Centre provides refuge, hope and support to vulnerable children and their families in Africa's largest slum region.

Hall Mead provides an outstanding education to about 570 impoverished children in one of Kenya's most fragile regions. Many have lost at least one parent. 25% of the pupils are HIV positive. Girls are especially at risk of child marriage and all are at risk of child labour, typically having to work in the local quarries.

Being orphaned or from an impoverished background is difficult enough, but trying to get through university without any meaningful family support is nigh on impossible. This excellent programme provides mentorship and practical support for some of the brightest young adults who have been in our care.

In Zambia, when a mother is sentenced to prison and she has a child aged 4 or under, the child will often go with her. As conditions are notoriously bad, our programme provides practical, spiritual and emotional support for both mother and child, while advocating for reform.

Sadly child sexual abuse is endemic in Zambia with many men believing that they will be cured of HIV if they have sex with a child. With an average age of only 12, there is negligible support and care for the victims and painfully inadequate systems to pursue justice or to establish effective child protection laws and systems.

This wonderful school provides a great education to 525 of the most vulnerable children in the impoverished Mongu region of Western Province, where girls are especially vulnerable and where there is negligible investment in education,

This remarkable after school centre set in the slums of Lusaka, provides about 20 of the area’s most vulnerable children with crucial education support, food, family support, life skills, Bible classes and more.

Based near some of the worst slums in Lusaka, our Chikondi Centre provides short-term residential care to children referred to us by our other projects, as well as some heart-breaking cases referred to us by the local authorities.

Based in one of Zambia's poorest regions in the Western Province, our Lilato Centre provides short-term residential care to children referred to us by our other projects, as well as some heart-breaking cases referred to us by the local authorities.

This remarkable programme cares for young girls who have been victims of the worst cases of sexual abuse and have been referred to us by the local courts. We provide love, support, trauma informed care, as well as pursuing justice against the perpetrators through our team of lawyers. Oasis is our holistic residential care centre and "La Arquilla" is our specialised programme within Oasis that cares for young mothers.

This wonderful care centre is a base for our teams to pursue justice and care for victims of child sexual abuse, while using their legal expertise to advocate for change and system reform.

This programme serves older girls aged eighteen and over who are survivors of sexual violence. They have come out of our Oasis programme and need support to live independently. The project helps them find work or continue with their education, as well as supporting them with childcare if they have little ones.

A wonderful school serving 200 impoverished children from the slums of Cap Haitien. They are so poor, we also provide 3 meals a day (plus weekend food packages), as well as after school education support for those with no family to help them with their homework.

This residential facility serves about 40 of the region’s most vulnerable children, with most also attending our school. As well as having a great education, we also want them to be equipped socially and emotionally to overcome the many hardships they face and embrace the future with confidence.

At the heart of our work in Peru are projects that help prevent violence against children and women in three hotspot regions.

A remarkable project supporting extremely vulnerable children and their families in a jungle community, where violence against children and women is especially bad.

Based in the beautiful but very needy town of Andahuaylas in the Andes, we provide educational support, trauma informed care, general life skills and a lot of love to some of the region's most vulnerable children and their families.

This project provides short term residential care and support to about 10 extremely vulnerable children, as we aim to integrate them back into a safe and loving family. All receive loving care, trauma counselling, education support, food, and more.

This wonderful Christian school provides an education for 130 or so of Beirut’s most vulnerable and impoverished Syrian refugee children, including food, family support, trauma informed care, life skills and more. Many of the kids are years behind in their education having fled the war in Syria.

A day centre that provides specialist catch up education to vulnerable and impoverished Syrian refugee children aged 5-13, specifically focusing on those who have NEVER received any education. Plus food, life skills, trauma informed care, family support, Bible classes, arts and sports. The kids love coming along!

The "Lighthouse Project’ is specifically designed to serve the mums and older sisters of the children who come to our school at our ‘Dar el Awlad’ complex near Beirut. The project provides fellowship groups, literacy classes, psycho social support, away days, counselling, parental advice and more.

Cares for about 35 of the most vulnerable Syrian refugee children in Lebanon, mainly those who have either been abandoned or have lost their parents as they fled from the war. The children are certainly well cared for – including trauma informed care, food, trauma counselling, a lot of love and spiritual input, with all of them attending the Dar el Awlad school.

A day centre in the south of Lebanon serving about 30 children and their families, typically from marginalised and impoverished backgrounds, including Bedouin gypsies. The project also provides vocational skills to a group of teenage Syrian refugee girls, including jewellery-making and basic dress-making skills.

Set in a rural mountainous region with especially high school drop out rates, extreme poverty and a high rate of teenage pregnancies, this school provides an excellent primary school education to 300 of the most vulnerable and a secondary school education to a further 150.

Provides residential support for about 40 of the region's most vulnerable children, providing all round holistic care as we aim to reintegrate them back into families. The programme also supports 10 graduates as they transition to adult living.

A wonderful school serving about 300 impoverished and vulnerable children in the Jarabacoa region of Dominican, where poverty is especially bad, not to mention child marriage, violence against children, and high incidents of child labour.

A wonderful school serving about 210 vulnerable children in an extremely impoverished and mountainous region, along with a residential support centre, which houses children from heart-breaking circumstances, as we try to integrate them back into a loving family.

This wonderful primary school offers an excellent education for nearly 200 impoverished children in a fragile region of extreme poverty and violence. 80% are Haitian immigrants, struggling to navigate life in a different country where they do not speak the language.

Based in an impoverished part of Puerto Plata, this programme provides an excellent education to 220 of the community’s most impoverished and vulnerable children. It is especially strong at introducing children to IT and more recently has taken on a trained trauma informed counsellor to help the many children who have suffered trauma.

A wonderful primary school for 160 of the region’s most impoverished and vulnerable children, with an after school sports programme serving 80 children. The school provides a range of holistic care, including free food, trauma informed care and counselling, basic medical care, and dental treatment.

A magnificent state-approved school serving 220 impoverished children in the middle eastern region of Dominican. The Monte Plata Centre cares for 40 abandoned and abused children as we try to reintegrate them back safely into their family or into foster care if this is not possible.
