We are delighted to have been able to give laptops to a number of the students in our Independent Living programme in Kenya. With lockdown continuing in many parts the country, these will be a valuable lifeline to them as they grapple with studying remotely.
The pandemic has made things extremely difficult for many students in further education throughout the world, but especially those who have not been able to participate in virtual learning and activities due to a lack of technology. Having a laptop is truly life-changing for these youngsters and an extreme thrill for them coming from such challenging backgrounds.
Here is a selection of photos of some of our students receiving their laptops, all thanks to our generous supporters here in the UK. All of these students are in our Independent Living programme, which is designed to help vulnerable children who have been in our care progress into further education (or vocation) once they have left school.
"On behalf of the students, we are grateful for the support you have given them. As much as the laptop is necessary for learning, it is a rare tool to have for students coming from such challenging backgrounds. May the Lord bless you all."
