Bevon is an active and sociable 5-year-old boy. He loves playing hide and seek and wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Your sponsorship will enable Bevon to continue at our school and help support his incredibly poor family. For privacy reasons we have blurred this image of Bevon but we will provide a clear photo should you decide to sponsor him.
Why Bevon needs you to sponsor him
Bevon is from one of Kenya’s poorest rural regions called Karundas. Every day is a struggle to find food, with many vulnerable children having no choice but to work all day to be fed, typically in the vast quarries here. No school. No education. No childhood.
Just about all of the children in our school programme have lost at least one parent with 1 in 4 being HIV positive. All live in abject poverty, typically in a shack like this. The more vulnerable they are, the more chance they have of getting into our school.
How your sponsorship will transform Bevon's life
Your sponsorship will fund Bevon’s entire education costs at our Hall Mead School, including free food, trauma counselling and family support. All in a loving Christian environment with daily devotions, Bible studies and prayer.

You will receive twice yearly updates about Bevon and you can send him messages, especially on his birthday and at Christmas (research has shown that children with sponsors tend to do better due to an increased sense of self-worth and general wellbeing).
