The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christians who come together to observe a common day of prayer held on the first Friday in March each year, and who, in many countries, have a continuing relationship in prayer and service. Prayer services will be held throughout the UK on March 5th 2021, with provisions in place should there be local lockdowns.
Part of the constitution of the WDP England, Wales and Northern Ireland states that they are able to award a number of grants each year to registered Christian charities, to assist their projects throughout the world. We made an application for the first time this year and were absolutely delighted to receive a grant of £3,000 towards our work in Guatemala.
Prayer is at the heart of Kids Alive International and our work around the world, so we are humbled and honoured to have received this award. We know a number of our supporters are real prayer warriors, so we would encourage you all take part, we certainly will!
