Sponsor a child and help prevent them working in a quarry in Kenya

Sign up to sponsor a child in Kenya today and we will send you details of a pre-school (or year 1 child) who has been especially selected due to their vulnerability. You really will transform their life, providing not just a great Christian education for them, but crucially free school food, which will help protect them from having to work (and child marriage if a girl). They are all absolutely adorable!

Why we need you to sponsor a child in Karundas, Kenya

Karundas is one of Kenya’s poorest rural regions, ravaged by drought and HIV. Every day is a struggle to find food, with many vulnerable children having no choice but to work all day to be fed, typically in the vast quarries here. No school. No education. No childhood.

Just about all of the children in our programme have lost at least one parent with 1 in 4 being HIV positive. All live in abject poverty, typically in a shack like this. The more vulnerable they are, the more chance they have of getting into the sponsorship programme.

How your sponsorship will transform a child's life

Your sponsorship will fund a child's entire education costs at our Hall Mead School, plus free school uniforms and supplies, trauma counselling, family support and more. All in a loving Christian environment with daily devotions, Bible studies and prayer. Crucially, you will also fund 2 meals a day at the school. which will prevent the need for the child to have to work. An incredible impact!

You will receive twice yearly updates about your sponsored child and you can send her or him messages, especially on their birthday and at Christmas (research has shown that children with sponsors tend to do better due to an increased sense of self-worth). It is so rewarding and a great way of supporting one of the world’s most vulnerable children, their family and their community.

Thank you for sponsoring one of the world's most vulnerable children!
